Rev. Bryan came to us in January of 2007. He had been Rector of St. James Anglican Church, Perth, Ontario for the previous six years.
Bryan is married to Rita and together they have 5 nearly grown children ranging in age from 13 to 29. Bryan was ordained as Deacon and Priest in 1976 in the Anglican Diocese of Ottawa.
After spending nearly 15 years in that Diocese, Bryan came to the Diocese of Calgary and the parish of St. Michaels in Canmore in 1990. What followed there were years of growing, building and evangalizing in the community of Canmore. They were exciting times where the community of St. Michaels grew and flourished. In 2000, Bryan left Canmore, to return to the Diocese of Ottawa and the parish of St. James, Perth with St. Augustine's, Drummond. While there Bryan met and married Rita. Since his return to the Diocese of Calgary and our Parish of Holy Nativity, Bryan has sought to encourage us to be more open, more welcoming of younger families and more willing to adjust to the changes we need to make to be more inviting and appealing to newcomers and returners. At present, Bryan is Chair of the Synod 2009 organizing Committee, Chief Chaplain to the Calgary Fire Department and is engaging in a program of spiritual and physical fitness. Bryan is happy to be here at Holy Nativity and eagerly anticipates the ministry God has in store for him. If you have any questions for him please feel free to contact him at the number given. He would love to take the time to chat with you.
